Coca-Cola presents the International Federation of Snowball Throwing

So, this nice guy named Jonathan sends me an email and asks if I’d like to offer my readers a free t-shirt or collector’s edition bottle sets from the 2008 Beijing Olympics.  And he says he’ll ship the prizes directly to my readers who win the items.  How can I say no?  Besides, this fun little offer comes via Coca-Cola, creator and provider of my main vice in life, Diet Coke.

Here’s the deal.  You click over to the IFST Blog and take a peek at the videos there.  Come back here and mention in my comment section which video was your favorite.  Over the weekend, I’ll randomly pick a winner, email you for your address and voila!  You get either a t-shirt or the aforementioned bottle set in the mail from the fine folks at Coca-Cola. (Bonus:  They mail it so you don’t have to wait for me to get around to dragging myself down to the post office!)

And now for some information straight from Jonathan about this whole snowballing throwing deal:

About the IFST Campaign:
Coca-Cola is running an online parody campaign called the ‘International Federation of Snowball Throwing’ designed to generate excitement for the upcoming Olympics and promote TCCC’s Olympic sponsorship in an unexpected way.  The “IFST” campaign is built around their global television commercial called “Snowball” which features representatives from different countries participating in a spontaneous snowball fight.

As part of the program, Coca-Cola created a fictional governing body called the International Federation of Snowball Throwing and hired an actor to serve as the IFST President.

The IFST is an “organization” created to rally support from citizens of the world who love throwing snowballs and want to see snowball throwing added to the Olympics.  The IFST supports snowball throwing in various forms, including individual accuracy competitions, team events and even competitions with ‘fake’ snow. Any competition involving a handmade ball made of soft, crystallized precipitation is recognized as an official sport by the International Federation of Snowball Throwing. Skill levels ranging from world-class athletes to anyone who loves to throw things are welcome.

You’re welcome!

Pretty funny stuff! Loved the ’snowercise” one the best. This looks like the kind of stuff my older boys would have done “back in the day” as they like to say.

Dressed to impress! I could care less about any clothes, but my budding fashionistas around here say you have to look good at all times. They are continually mortified by my utter disregard for fashion…

The snowball throwing training video was good – the slow motion instant replay was great acting. The official commercial was great, too – having that delicious cold Classic Coke bottle broken out of one’s hand would be enough to make any Coke fanatic toss some mean balls of snow. What a concept! I’ll be watching for this sport (spoof) next week, as well as my winning shirt or bottle……… Thank you very much.

Oh my gosh..what a fun guy. I enjoyed the training video…how come we don’t see good stuff like this on our TV? We have snow here today so makes me want to grab the grand kids and head out doors and show them what I have learned….ha ha very funny!

I am torn between the Pin Trading video (I am a sucker for crafts and this one is easy, cheap and not messy) and the video where he interviews people on the street (bald spot showing while chasing the guys at the end is priceless). Thanks so much for a fun giveaway!

I saw the commercial during the Opening Ceremony tonight, and was reminded of this give-away thing. Pick me; pick me.
