Product Review: Haagen-Dazs Five Series Ice Cream
The Elephant Man rip Oh, how I do suffer in the name of research. In order to tell you about Haagen-Dazs “Five,” the new ice cream that features five all natural ingredients (milk, cream, sugar, egggs and one “hero” ingredient such as mint, ginger, passion fruit, brown sugar, milk chocolate, coffee or vanilla bean) I had to taste four flavors. What a sacrifice!
Now, the Passion Fruit Ice Cream was good. Great, if you like fruity flavors.
The Ginger was odd, but maybe paired with the appropriate recipe, it would be outstanding. (Also, if you’re a fan of ginger, well, this is the ice cream for you!)
I adored the Mint flavor, so smooth, so perfect. Really, maybe the most perfect Mint ice cream ever. (Especially with a hot fudge topping . . .)

And then, the ice cream that made me fall in love with it, Brown Sugar. I literally tasted one bite and than ran upstairs to share a bite with my husband. Then–and this is important–I returned downstairs to hog the rest of the pint. No more sharing. My old favorite ice cream (Ben& Jerry’s Wavy Gravy) was discontinued (long ago, alas) and I have been longing for a new favorite. Haagen-Dazs Five “Brown Sugar” has filled that void.
And BONUS: This ice cream has less fat than the other varieties of Haagen-Dazs premium ice cream.

Hi Melodee. I NEED this ice cream coupon because I’m with you – can’t quite find a favorite. I get to ‘date’ my kids and they get to pick a Ben and Jerry’s pint as do I. None have really ‘turned me on quite yet’. Maybe this will do the trick! Try me!
Ooh!! I need a coupon!!! The key word is NEED…. It’s the ice cream that I NEED to try & that smooth mint you described sounds wonderful!! & the brown sugar… How can I decide which one to try?? I think you should get more coupons!! I NEED more ice cream!!! Must I beg???? PLEASE!!!

I will say that I WANT this coupon because ice cream is my lifeblood. But I honestly do not NEED it. Ice cream and I are like cookies and milk, and oil and water, all rolled into one. I love it, I crave it and I can’t say no to it, which turns every container, no matter its size, into a single serving. But seriously, that Brown Sugar ice cream? Even if I am not worthy of a coupon, I might have to find it on my own. I WANT WANT WANT it.

I need this coupon so that I can do something nice for my hubby. I haven’t been the easiest person for him to live with lately. This would be an awesome treat for him and even possibly make me a bit sweeter. 
I need to receive a coupon because…I need to celebrate, and Haagen-Dazs ice cream bars are the perfect thing for a celebration. My husband and I are moving into our first purchased home, and we need something tasty in the freezer to greet us on our first night as homeowners!

This brings fond memories of when my husband and I could – and did – indulge in our own Haagen-Dazs containers. He was stuck on Honey Vanilla, while I inhaled Vanilla Swiss Almond.
Not only can we not afford the $$$ for such spoils, we have been trying to work off the good ol’ days for years….

I NEED this coupon because I am scheduled for my annual mammogram at the end of this month and I always reward myself for being a grown up and going to the appt. – this would be a wonderful reward!
I need this coupon because ice cream is my favorite, and only, dessert.I love it with a passion and I haven’t had any in a long time. And mint is my favorite. Followed closely, I’m sure, by brown sugar.
Oh am I too late? Brown Sugar – seriously?? That sounds so good I will have to run out and see if it’s available here yet – when we were kids, we would eat a lump of brown sugar as a snack….I could get away with eating brown sugar now – but in a more acceptable way!

I just wanted to follow up to say that after visiting 2 stores, I finally found one that had the Brown Sugar in stock. It is taking tremendous self-control to stop after eating half the container. Trying to remind myself this means I’ll have half to eat tomorrow. It is really good. Not sure whether to thank you or curse you!
