My blog-friend, Karen, of Simply A Musing Blog, has a Q & A feature about cancer. Check it out.
Cancer has touched my family. My husband was diagnosed with laryngeal cancer about ten years ago, maybe longer now. He recovered completely.
You may or may not realize that my dad died from malignant melanoma when he was only 47 years old. He had a mole removed from the side of his face and was “clear” for almost five years . . . when the doctors discovered a brain tumor. He died four months later. So, please, be careful in the sun as summer approaches. And check out Karen’s blog. We might learn something new. (I think you can click right on the button.)

Oh Mel, thanks SO much for the link. I am so so sorry that cancer robbed your dad from you, but I’m so thankful that your husband is A-okay.
Cancer is one word I can truly say I hate and not feel guilty about it.

Okay, now I am feeling guilty and parnoid after sitting at the beach all day. We did have sunscreen though.
I had no idea about your husband Mel. That is an article.

Seriously, thanks for warning everyone about the sun too. I CRINGE every time I see a crispy “tanned” tourist here. Nearly everything I wear has sunscreen in it…moisturizer, makeup, etc. Yes, I’m white as a ghost. I think a tan is pretty, I just don’t think that Cancer is…I guess I’ll just stay white!
