Mt. Rainier

Yesterday, we went to Mt. Rainier to hike. (I did not pick out their clothes and cannot be responsible for their appearance.)P7190003.JPG

I have words to match the pictures, but no time to tell the story, so instead, I leave you with one more picture:

Today we’re off to the ocean. And that will conclude our whirlwind “Vacation Without Leaving Home” vacation.

Someday I want to visit the Pacific Northwest and just take in the splendor of all the cool trees you have there!

    Lovely family.

I have such fond memories of family outings from my childhood. It’s wonderful you are giving yourself and your kids delightful adventures to remember. :)

What a beautiful place – lucky you to have that close enough to drive to!

I am so loving those trees!

If you are like me, then you don’t even notice what clothes they pick out until you get out of the car at your destination. Way too late to do anything about it then. ;)

Hey Mel… I am impressed with the list of activities for this week. And impressed that you let the house be when you left. Good for you. You’re doing a whole family vacation soon, right? With Pastor Husband?

It is always ok to wear that type of clothing. When I was younger (a kid) there was a girl that lived accross the street, whe always wore shorts & was bare foot in winter, but also had on her coat. Comfort that is what is best & they look pretty comfie to me. Wish I had so of those views, they are just awesome.

Hmmmm…I wonder if that’s the same rock wall my brothers and I were sitting on around 50 years ago on a vacation to Mt. Rainier! We sat there with Mickey Mouse hats on our heads, lol! The ocean sounds great…I’ll have to check back to see tomorrow if you went to Ocean Shores or Westport or one of those in my old stomping grounds…I practically grew up on the beaches at Westport and watching the fishing fleets coming in at the end of the day with their catches! I guess Hurricane Ridge is a little too far away for a day trip, eh? Stay cool this weekend, Mel! 102 today here in Portland, they’re predicting!
