Here is what happens when you spend Mother’s Day going to church and then spending a solitary afternoon at the movie theater and then shopping for bargains at Value Village. Follow that up with an evening watching the finale of “Survivor” and you’ve got enough dirty laundry to clothe an entire Third World nation, especially one that favors stripes and pink underpants and animal print comforters.
(If you truly wish to emulate my laundry incompetence, you might want to ignore the laundry pile on Saturday, too, just to ensure a super gigantic stinky mountain of dirtiness.)

And so it goes… But I fooled my beloved I put the piles together started the first load then when the washer finished I batted my eyes & said “its mother’s day, I’m a mother”. He very sweetly finished it all. Man o man what a great day!

I did a load of laundry, but I decided to leave the dishes in the sink…they were still there this morning. Oh well, at least I got chocolate, and was able to listen to my own radio staion in the car with out interuption!

Hmmm looks so very familiar- sure you didn’t sneak in my house to take this photo? My pile still looks like that today. We watched the Survivor finale last night, too- that is always a treat night (order take-in) for hubby & I- a great way to end Mom’s Day!

I had a similar result. In my case it’s a pile of dishes. Actually, pile is the wrong word. The dirty dishes almost seem alive, multiplying at a frightening pace.

Are you kidding me? How can there ever be that much laundry? I know, I know – You’re probably shaking your head and thinking I’m in for a big surprise if I ever have kids, but WOW. I feel sorry for you and all the other moms out there. I thought I enjoyed doing laundry until I saw this picture.

Thank you, THANK YOU for posting that picture. It is so comforting to know that someone else is drowning, too!!

I see the laundry fairy visited you as well! I actually don’t mind doing laundry. For me, the worst part is the folding. Your pile resembles my clean-but-not-folded pile.

Finally, someone else with almost as much laundry as me.
