How I Spent My Afternoon

Doing this.

And while I’m inordinately proud of my 22/33 score, I loathe myself for being unable to get all 33.

The rain still falls, but at least this month is nearly over.

Update: Man, you guys are smart! I am mightily impressed! (The answers can be found, by the way, if you click on “FAQ” at the bottom of the page and look awhile on the next page. I was able to get up to 25/33, but gave up . . . there are some I’ve never even heard of, some I was close. It’s always fun to think that you’re really smart, though, at least for an hour or two.)

Well I got 19 on my own (my personal goal) and with hubby’s help we are up to 29. The last 4 are going to consume us!!! (want to compare notes?)

I got the same score as you, Mel. 22/30 makes my whole day look better, what, with knowing I’m a genious and all. ;) I wonder if we got the same 22 right.

You got 22/30 or 22/33? The test I took had 33 answers. By the way, we walked away from the computer, and my 12 year old took a stab at it – and I have no idea what he did, but now all of our answers are gone! We tried to recreate and we now only have 27 – cannot remember what the answers to 2 of them are (so much for genius!)

Ok, last comment from me – finally recreated all the lost answers. final score for us is 20/33. Found a website that had the rest of the answers so now I can go on with my day. If you are really, really driving yourself crazy…..go to http://www.chesskit.com/miscellaneous/quiz.php

I got 22 all by myself, and then got all 33 by cheating. You can Google just about anything! LOL!

I surprised myself by coming up with 23 before giving up and looking at the answers. There were a couple that I really should have known….

    27.

It took a really long time though.

Now I can go back to napping.

Ok, I whipped through it and got 14 before I came back here to see if that was a good enough score and I could stop working on it or if I should keep at it (yes that’s how I was in school too, did just enough to get by…) But NOOOOOO, your readers are all geniuses, so now I either get back to work and raise that score or stop reading your site because it is clearly geared for the cream of the crop. Ugh, I hate choices this early in the morning…

Well, I got 25 on my first run-through but I have to admit I’ve seen that one before.

However I then tried the one linked at the bottom, http://www.intelligence-test.net/ which is similar but (I think) harder. Or maybe it’s just that I don’t recognise any of them from doing this kind of thing before. I can only get 11 out of 24 on that one…

How did you all get so flippin’ smart?

  12. dinodoc January 23, 2006 at 6:52 pm #

I started but I quit so I won’t obsess over it for hours. I still need to pack!

However, I can see some wonderful potential for silly &/or a bit off-color answers. hehehe. (Jon Stewart, anyone?)

When I finally looked at the answers, I realized that there were some I would NEVER have gotten. As you know, I stopped after 20…
